“Is it broke? Guess it needs fixing then. Got any spare parts?” The Engineer is here for all your failed attempts to obtain requisition slips and turn them into working parts. Need your sword sharpening? Someone to fix that broken ratchet? Parts to keep your Tank operating at full efficiency?

Maybe design and create a temporary piece of armour or jury-rig an explosive device? Engineering is a complex integrated design concept that is both difficult to manage and delicate to operate. Or you hit it with a wrench until it works. If Truth be told, probably both. Many engineers learn their craft either as an apprentice to a Master Artisan, or attend one of the many Universities that have sprung up all over Centra. The best and brightest get to show their Diplomas from the Reginald Fielding Research and Development Centre of Excellence, which boast the greatest facilities, access to the finest equipment money can buy and probably the best teachers that are available thanks to Attraxan Unity.. What all  apprentices go through is how to work with steel, brass, copper and fire, wood turning, grease and gears. Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry. All the tools of the trade. It’s a long and difficult apprenticeship but those that do it, love it. With an expanding War going on across Gallea, some of these Engineers have been tempted away to work on various projects that some feel may tip the balance. There are smaller colleges dotted around that don’t have as good a pedigree as the bigger facilities but with the Etherium engine relatively new it is very difficult to get anyone who really knows the technology to a great degree, no matter where they have been trained, so demand for Field Engineers is high.

If you wish to play a character that supports other classes including the Tank Teams, this specialist
class is the one to choose.

For ease of reference the equipment list for the Field Engineer is as follows:

Each Field Engineer is armed with the Short Rifle.

They may also carry all 36 rounds of ammunition
with one pre-loaded 7 round clip.

The Field Engineer may wear light armour; carry a knife or
equivalent up to 18” long;

a longer melee weapon up to 24” in length;

they may also carry a Pistol.
Any of these weapons may be used in either hand and “dual wielded” should the player wish to do so.
The Field Engineer also excels at making short term boosters or items to take into a Battle or Skirmish

and they only last until used or the Game Weekend Finishes, whichever is first.

Here is the list of what they can do:

Once made, the player will need to advise a Ref who will issue them with a relevant item card. This card will need to be handed in “on use” to the Battle or Skirmish Ref by the player who wishes to benefit from the item during that encounter. This also includes Tank Parts to be handed in by Tanker Characters before their specific Tank Battle. As these items are all One Shot Use Items, if you do not declare them to the Ref prior to the encounter or battle they may not be used during that encounter, so make sure you hand them to the appropriate Ref. No one person can use more than 5 in one engagement.
