Welcome to TankLARP!

In a world of pseudo-medieval history, the Continent of Gallea has seen its’ share of civil war, rebellious uprising and conflict. At this point in that history a magical renaissance has grown rapidly to dominate the world stage. Over the last 90 years, forces have fought over resources, land and commerce, resulting in two major powers coming to the fore.

 

Revaaran Imperial Forces in the East have grown with expansionism in mind. Their ideology spreads to the surrounding lands: that everyone has the ability to reach their full potential unshackled by history or ritual. The Royal Kingdom of Gulldahn in the West has consolidated their position, gaining favour and power from the joining of Noble Houses to create unity and stability. Their feudal system is solid and citizens are supported by their local leaders or Barons.

At the heart is Gallea and the power of the Etherium Engine. This device has grown to charge bolt rifles in the hands of foot soldiers and power mighty tanks that prowl the battlefield. The almost magical technology advances rapidly and the tides of war shift. Will you be able to rise to prominence and carve out your own destiny?

This is War!

 

During the game weekend a number of events will happen, mostly triggered by player actions. For
those that are interested, a lot of what will happen is very much “Find Out In Play.” We want the
players to find out how effective their roleplay will be by actually doing it, not by mechanically
working out the numbers behind the scenes. Our best advice is:

Roleplaying will give you the biggest benefits!

 

However, our aim is to guide you along that journey, so here is what you can
expect to see during a TankLARP event:

 

Whilst battles rage across Gallea...


- Players will be involved in Key Encounters during the Campaign Day, as dictated by their
Officers and Logistics Actions on the War Table. This will be in the form of Encounters or
Skirmishes where they fight directly against the enemy faction, possibly with opposing
objectives, or may be sent on missions behind enemy lines with a specific action to perform.
- On return from their mission, success or failure will be reported in a debrief, so that their
commanders can instruct appropriate responses and update details on the war effort.
- The Injured will be treated in the MTC, hopefully recovering and being able to return to the
Front.
- Similarly, Tank Battles will be fought and their results reported back to the War Room.
- Message Runners will relay critical information to the Command Tent and await responses,
or deliver instructions to the Front Line Troops. You will send dispatches to the leaders of other friendly armies, NPCs and HQ

- Field Engineers will manufacture components or upgrades; Field Medics will produce Field
Dressings to use during Combat.
- Various dignitaries will visit the camps and safe areas. There are many other peoples that
live in Centra, beyond the borders of each faction, who might have supplies to trade or
barter, information to divulge, problems they need help with, to name but a few. The
opportunity to speak to them might make a difference to their War. Or your War.
- Unit Drilling and Combat Training, a casual drink in the mess, a chat among comrades
taking a breather in-between battles, a trip to the rear on leave to take in the sights of the
local town, grab a meal or a drink, relax.

- Etherial Beings may also visit, seeking aid in their dominance over the land's flow of Etherium. They may set tasks,

additional mission objectives and conditions for the war effort.
